KATHMANDU, July 21: Ten people, including the driver, were injured after a bus crashed into a bridge in Tanahun district on Tuesday afternoon.
The accident occurred at around 3:15 PM near the Kalesti Bridge in Byas Municipality-7 when a bus (registration number Ga 1 Kha 6465) traveling from Kalesti to Damauli along the Damauli–Bhorletar road section went out of control and struck the bridge.

The driver became trapped inside the driver’s seat following the crash. A rescue team comprising 17 police personnel, including traffic police and led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Dwarika Prasad Ghimire from the Tanahun District Police Office, was deployed to the scene and carried out the rescue operation.
The driver and nine injured passengers were immediately taken to hospital for treatment. Police said the bus was carrying about 25 passengers at the time of the accident.
Further investigation into the incident is underway.
