KATHMANDU, June 18: The British College (TBC) has received re-accreditation from the British Accreditation Council (BAC), a UK-based independent body that assesses quality standards in further and higher education.
According to a statement issued by the college, TBC remains the first and only institution in Nepal to receive BAC re-accreditation. The accreditation is valid until May 31, 2030, following an institutional inspection conducted by BAC assessors from the United Kingdom.

The assessment reviewed areas including academic programmes, teaching and learning, governance, student support services, campus facilities, online education, extracurricular activities and graduate employability, the statement said.
BAC accreditation requires institutions to meet standards related to governance and financial management, academic administration, teaching and assessment, student support, learning resources, and quality assurance.
The college said the accreditation involves continued monitoring and periodic inspections to ensure institutions maintain the required standards throughout the accreditation period.
According to TBC, the re-accreditation reflects international recognition of its educational systems and quality assurance practices.
