EC Spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said vehicles transporting tourists may operate after securing prior approval from the concerned District Administration Office, while permits in Kathmandu must be obtained directly from the EC at least two days before the election.
The procedures also include measures to regulate vehicle movement along highways on election day. Apart from essential services, diplomatic missions, and the National Human Rights Commission, other vehicles may operate only after obtaining official permission.
The EC stated that the guidelines are intended to ensure smooth election proceedings while facilitating necessary transportation services.
