KAPILVASTU, July 26: Two people were killed after a bus collided with a motorcycle near Bimiha Chowk in Shuddhodhan Rural Municipality, Kapilvastu, late Saturday night.

According to police, the bus, bearing registration number Bh 1 Kha 4552, was travelling from Taulihawa to Bhairahawa when it struck an oncoming motorcycle with registration number Lu Pra 01004 Pa 3856.
The motorcyclists, identified as 30-year-old Ram Bahadur Chai and 28-year-old Sarju Chai, both of Paschim Bhadehar in Yashodhara Rural Municipality Ward No. 2, sustained critical injuries.
They died while undergoing treatment at Kapilvastu Hospital, police said.
The bus driver has been taken into police custody for further investigation.
