RAUTAHAT, Aug 21: Two people were killed and two others injured in separate road accidents in Sarlahi district.
Police said 23-year-old Guriya Kumari of Godaita Municipality-5 was killed after being hit by a tractor in front of Nepal Bank Chowk in Malangawa Municipality-8. Police have taken the tractor and its driver into custody following the incident.

In another accident, two motorcycles collided on the Dhankaul–Parsa inner road in Haripurwa Municipality-3. Forty-year-old Kari Pamariya of Haripurwa-3 died while receiving treatment, while 45-year-old Chandeshwar Das of Ishwarpur-15 was injured.
Police have detained the motorcycle rider and are investigating the incident.
