KATHMANDU, Sept 7: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has dispatched a third relief mission to Nepal to support ongoing search-and-rescue and medical response efforts following the devastating floods and landslides.
The latest mission, dispatched on Thursday, includes specialists from the UAE Joint Operations Command, a search-and-rescue team from Dubai Police, and personnel from the UAE Aid Agency, according to The National.
UAE sends third relief mission to Nepal
The mission builds on two earlier UAE relief flights that delivered a combined 128 tons of food, shelter materials and power generators to Nepal.
The supplies were part of a $10 million humanitarian assistance package ordered by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to support Nepal following the disaster.
The UAE has expressed solidarity with Nepal and pledged continued support for relief and rescue efforts.
