KATHMANDU, June 8: The CPN-UML has demanded that Prime Minister Balendra Shah correct and apologise for his recent remarks related to the border issue.
Speaking during Monday’s parliamentary session, UML Deputy Parliamentary Party Leader Padma Aryal said there should be no ruling or opposition divide on matters of national sovereignty, and urged the Prime Minister to appear in Parliament, withdraw his statement, and apologise.

“We must stand united. On matters of nationality, there should be no ruling or opposition sides,” she said. “Let us correct this collectively. Honourable Speaker, take leadership to pass a national resolution proposal. Let him be brought to Parliament, apologise, and have the record removed,” Aryal said.
She also reiterated that Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura are an integral part of Nepal, and urged Speaker DP Aryal to take the lead on the matter.
