KATHMANDU, June 23: The CPN-UML has expressed strong dissatisfaction over the budget presented by the Sudurpaschim Provincial Government for the upcoming Fiscal Year 2026/27 in the Provincial Assembly.
The party has warned that it will withdraw its support from the government if the budget is passed in its current form without amendments.

The UML’s 11th full meeting of the Sudurpaschim Provincial Committee concluded that the budget is one-sided and has completely ignored another coalition partner.
Stating that it cannot continue supporting the government in the current situation, the committee stressed that necessary amendments to the budget are essential, according to a statement issued by UML Sudurpaschim Province Deputy Secretary and Head of the Publicity and Publication Department Bhagirathi Bista.
The meeting, held at the provincial office in Dhangadhi, Kailali, was chaired by Provincial Chair Krishna Prasad Jaishi and attended by UML central member and Sudurpaschim in-charge Damodar Bhandari as the chief guest.
