For this purpose, the EC approved the voter education program on February 2. GC stated that volunteers will be mobilized with a specific focus on voter education so that voters are properly informed and votes are not invalidated.
The EC has felt the need to strengthen voter education as even votes cast in the National Assembly member election were found to be invalid. Preparations are underway to select and appoint voter education volunteers and provide them training in all seven provinces on February 15.
After the training, volunteers will be deployed in all 6,743 wards of 753 local levels nationwide by the second week of February, the EC said.
