Voting resumes at Jabadi polling station in Sarlahi

KATHMANDU, March 5: Voting has resumed at the Jabadi polling station in Balara Municipality under Sarlahi Constituency-4.



Voting at the Shree Primary School, Jabadi polling station was halted after a dispute broke out among polling agents when an elderly voter attempted to cast his vote with the assistance of someone other than a relative.

The dispute escalated between polling agents affiliated with the Rastriya Swatantra Party and the Nepali Congress, leading to the suspension of voting for about 54 minutes.


After voting was halted, a high-level security team led by Chief District Officer Ramuraj Kadariya held discussions and resolved the dispute at the polling station, following which voting resumed.
