KATHMANDU, Sept 1: Even though the water level and flow in the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli rivers are below the alert level, people have been advised to remain highly alert.
The Flood Forecasting Division of the Centre of Hydrology and Water Resources Research said that the river flow in the Bhotekoshi has remained low following the flood on August 26, but people are still advised to remain alert.

The Division stated in its flood forecast bulletin issued here today that there is a medium risk of flash floods as the flow of small rivers is likely to increase significantly in Taplejung, Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Khotang, Okhaldhunga, Ramechhap, Dolakha, Sindhupalchok, Kavrepalanchok, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kathmandu, Dhading, Gorkha, Lamjung and Dolpa and surrounding districts.
Similarly, the Division forecast that the flow of small rivers in Rukum East, Rukum West, Jajarkot, Darchula, Baitadi, Dadeldhura, Doti, Kailali and Kanchanpur would increase significantly, with a medium risk of sudden flooding. The flow of small rivers in Nuwakot and Rasuwa districts is also expected to increase significantly, with a high possibility of sudden flooding.
