KANCHANPUR, July 16: A 42-year-old woman died after allegedly being assaulted by her husband in Kanchanpur, police said.
According to Kanchanpur Police Chief Tek Bahadur Rawat, Paru Sunar, 42, died on Thursday after being beaten by her 45-year-old husband, Ran Bahadur Sunar.

Both Paru, who had sustained injuries, and Ran Bahadur were taken to Dodhara Chandani Municipal Hospital for treatment on Wednesday.
Police have taken Ran Bahadur into custody and launched an investigation into the incident.
