Three computers, along with tables and chairs in the sections, were damaged in the fire.

Justice Hari Bhattarai, sharing information about the incident on social media, wrote, “Three sections of the Supreme Court’s new building have again been damaged by a fire today. It appears to have been caused by an electrical short circuit. It seems necessary to take precautions.”

A fire had also broken out at the Supreme Court’s records section on the night of September 2.

Last year, on September 9, the Supreme Court’s old building was set on fire during the Gen Z Movement. Following the arson, the Supreme Court’s operations were shifted to the new building.
