KATHMANDU, July 31: The swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed ministers of Bagmati Province has been postponed indefinitely.
In a statement, Devendra Sapkota, spokesperson for the Office of the Bagmati Province Chief, said that the oath-taking ceremony scheduled for 1 PM Thursday has been postponed until further notice.

On Wednesday, Chief Minister Bahadur Singh Lama appointed Govinda Lamsal, Gita Gurung and Maya Shrestha as ministers.
According to the statement, the program was postponed after the province chief suddenly left for Kathmandu this morning, citing health complications.
“The swearing-in ceremony of the newly appointed ministers of Bagmati Province, which was scheduled for 1 PM on Thursday, July 31, has been postponed until further notice following an unexpected health issue faced by the Province Chief.
As per the directive of the Province Chief, who has departed for Kathmandu for treatment, the program has been deferred,” the statement read.
