KATHMANDU, Nov 30: Vice President Ram Sahaya Prasad Yadav participated in a special ceremony on Saturday evening marking the 54th National Day of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The event was hosted by UAE Ambassador to Nepal Abdullah Saeed Mubarak Jarwan Al Shamsi and attended by members of the Council of Ministers, heads of constitutional bodies, diplomatic mission chiefs, senior officials of the Nepalese government, business leaders, UAE citizens residing in Nepal for work, and senior journalists.

In brief remarks, Ambassador Al Shamsi highlighted that relations between Nepal and the UAE are built on mutual goodwill, respect, and shared interests. He noted that both countries are aligned in tackling climate change, promoting global peace, and combating terrorism.
The ambassador recalled that the UAE extended support to Nepal during natural disasters such as the 2015 earthquake, the COVID-19 pandemic, and floods and landslides.
He also acknowledged the significant contributions of the large Nepalese community in the UAE toward both Nepal’s and the UAE’s economic development, emphasizing that the UAE has been assisting Nepal in renewable energy, tourism, physical infrastructure, and human resource development.
