Auto show draws more than 40,000 visitors

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: More than 40,000 automobile enthusiasts have visited the ongoing NADA Auto Show in the past four days, according to officials of Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA).

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: More than 40,000 automobile enthusiasts have visited the ongoing NADA Auto Show in the past four days, according to officials of Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA).



NADA is the organizer of the mega automobile show of the country. The six-day event is concluding on Sunday.



"We have received quality visitors who are eager to know about domestic automobile industry and look for their dream car.



Till the fourth day of the event, we have received around 40,000 visitors," Shambhu Dahal, coordinator of NADA Auto Show, said.



NADA has set a target of welcoming 50,000 visitors in the six-day event.



“We introduced entry tickets to control crowd and attract quality visitors,” added Dahal.



Renowned brands like Datsun, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mahindra, MG, Nissan, Renault, Skoda, Suzuki, Tata, Toyota, Volkswagen, Ssangyong, Ashok Leyland, Eicher, Escorts, TVS, UM, Vespa, Royal Enfield, among others, are participating in the event.



Several automobile brands launched number of new vehicle models in the first day of the auto show itself. While CG NextGen launched compact SUV Vitara Brezza, Yamaha lifted wraps off Ray ZR scooter. Similarly, Honda rolled out two motorbikes -- Navi and CBR 650F.



NADA officials said that many companies are expected to launch their new models in during the auto show.



NADA is targeting transactions worth Rs 2 billion at the auto show.
