Bhattarai argued there were already public holidays for the Holi festival on March 2 (in hilly and mountainous regions and March 3 in Tarai/Madhesh. So, giving a public holiday on March 4, a day before voting, would help people from different professions and staying in distant places reach the polling stations conveniently, he added.
