KATHMANDU, Aug 24 : President Ram Chandra Paudel met the mother and sister of Bipin Joshi, a student from Mahendranagar who has been held hostage by the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
Bipin’s mother, Padma Joshi and sister, Pushpa Joshi, had recently traveled to Israel with the coordination of the Nepali Embassy, where they met the Israeli President, Prime Minister and diplomats from various countries to raise international concern over his captivity.

They urged for stronger international efforts to secure Bipin’s release, stressing that he is an innocent student.
President Paudel assured the family that he would make further efforts to push for Bipin’s safe release on humanitarian grounds.
