KATHMANDU, Oct 8: President Bidya Devi Bhandari offered Tika and Jamara to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli amid a function held at Sheetal Niwas, the presidential palace in Kathmandu.
Chairman of National Assembly Ganesh Timalsina, cabinet ministers, Chief Justice Cholendra Sumsher Rana, high-ranking government officials and Nepal Communist Party leaders received Tika and Jamara from the president on the auspicious occasion of Vijaya Dashami.
President offers Dashain tika and jamara to general public
In the capacity of the Head of the State, the president also offered the Dashain Tika to the general public.
Earlier today, she received Dashain Tika and Jamara from the main priests of Hanumandhoka Temple Debraj Aryal and President's Office Khemchandra Dhakal respectively.
The priest duo offered Tika and Jamara to President Bhandari which was brought from the Hanumandhoka Temple.
