KATHMANDU, Dec 16: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday escalated 18.37 points to close at 2,619.99 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,601.61 points, gradually inclined and reached as high as 2,617.18 points in the midway of the trading time. In the next one hour, the market shedded 10 points before recovering around 12 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.
Nepse stretches winning run with record weekly turnover
Only trading was the loser with a decline of 0.52 points. Of the 12 gaining groups, hotels and tourism surged 103.27 points, the largest of all.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies increased 3.15 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 3.29 billion from Rs 3.44 billion.
Among the individual companies, 187 were gainers while 61 were recorded as losers. Ngadi Group Power Ltd had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 198.24 million.
Swastik Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha, by gaining 10 percent, was listed as the highest gainer. Share price of Swet-Ganga Hydropower and Construction Limited declined by the highest of 4.16 percent in its market price.
