KATHMANDU, Feb 26: Banking fraud cases have been the most frequently registered complaints with Nepal Police in recent days.
According to data released by Nepal Police, 1,017 banking fraud cases were registered from mid-January to mid-February, accounting for 22.29% of the total cases.

Cases related to public interest, health, security, convenience and morality accounted for 563 cases (12.34%).
Meanwhile, 494 suicide-related cases, 436 drug-related cases, 380 accidental death cases, and 364 theft cases were also registered.
Out of 4,561 total cases registered nationwide, the highest number was recorded in the Kathmandu Valley with 1,337 cases.
By province, 775 cases were registered in Koshi Province, 704 in Madhesh Province, 573 in Lumbini, 388 in Bagmati, 367 in Gandaki, 258 in Sudurpaschim, and the lowest 159 cases in Karnali Province.
