“The agreement is to go together in the National Assembly. The responsibility to finalize the clusters and decide which party gets which seats has been given to the chairman,” said UML Deputy General Secretary Lekhraj Bhatt.
Oli and NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba are expected to hold further discussions to finalize the seat distribution.
UML has claimed seven seats across the provinces, one in each. Efforts are also underway to include the Nepali Communist Party (NCP) and the Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) in the NC-UML alliance.
In the National Assembly, a total of 19 seats are vacant. Elections will be held for 18 of them, while the remaining one will be nominated by the President.
