BHAKTAPUR, April 21: The 10th Bhaktapur Industrial Fair held at Sallaghari has secured a transaction of over Rs 8 million.
The fair held on the occasion of the New Year 2083 BS ran for 12 days. Over 130 thousand persons, including consumers, visited the fair organized by Industrial Peace Nepal, according to Chair Sandip Mahat.
Bhaktapur industrial festival collects Rs 80 million proceeds
The event featured industrial, cultural, tourism and agricultural products and their sales. A total of 180 stalls showcased varieties of items produced in various places, including Bhaktapur district.
Festival coordinator Dipak Thapa informed that the fair aimed at promoting local production and national and international brands. The visitors could buy daily essentials, including food items, handicrafts, electronic goods, agricultural tools, automobiles, woodcrafts, garments and IT gadgets, among others.
Even the recreational facilities were managed as part of the festival. Such facilities were a major attraction to children.
Noted singers such as Pramod Kharel, Durgesh Thapa, Alina Chauhan, Rachana Rimal, Priti Paswan, and Bhojraj Kafle made presentations. Humor, comedy, and dances were performed to entertain the fair visitors.
