KATHMANDU, April 5: Both houses of the Federal Parliament are meeting today. The House of Representatives will meet at 11:00 am at the multi-purpose hall of the under-construction federal parliament building in Singha Durbar.
The agenda of today's meeting is to present a proposal to elect Member of Parliament Dol Prasad Aryal as the Speaker of the House of Representatives. Vice-President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Aryal, was elected unopposed as the Speaker on Friday.

Similarly, the National Assembly will meet at 12:15 pm at Singha Durbar. In the meeting, the NA Chair will nominate and change the names of the members of different thematic committees.
The Chair will also nominate the names of the members who will preside over the meeting in the absence of the Chair and Vice-Chair.
According to the agenda, Prime Minister Balendra Shah will present the annual report of the Women's Commission for the fiscal year 2081/82, shared by Padma Prasad Pandey, General Secretary of the Federal Parliament Secretariat.
