KATHMANDI, Feb 1: A central committee meeting of the Dahal-Nepal faction of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is taking place this afternoon.
Shreeram Dhakal, secretary at the party's central office, said that the central committee meeting will begin at 1PM. The meeting which was supposed to begin at 11AM was deferred for 1PM owing to the busy schedules of the senior leaders.

The meeting will discuss various matters including the party faction's ongoing protest demonstration against the dissolution of parliament. Likewise, the meeting will also discuss the Election Commission's decision not to grant official recognition to either of the factions of the NCP.
On January 25, the Dahal-Nepal faction unveiled its third phase of agitation against the dissolution of parliament.
