DRI files second case against Bikal: Rs 613.21 million in damages, wife Elina also named as accused

The DRI filed the case through the District Government Attorney’s Office at the Kathmandu District Court on Wednesday, alleging money laundering, seeking damage claim of Rs 613.21 million from Paudel.

KATHMANDU, April 29: The Department of Revenue Investigation (DRI) has filed another case against former Executive Director of the Security Printing Center Bikal Paudel.



The DRI filed the case through the District Government Attorney’s Office at the Kathmandu District Court on Wednesday, alleging money laundering, seeking damage claim of Rs 613.21 million from Paudel.

His wife, Elina Basnet, has also been named as a defendant in the case. A claim amount of Rs 78.14 million has been set against her.


Previously, the DRI had filed a case against Paudel and his wife on September 30, 2024, accusing them of foreign exchange misappropriation. In that case, the DRI demanded recovery of Rs 626.5 million from the couple.
