KATHMANDU, Sep 28: The Ministry of Home Affairs has begun distributing identification cards to individuals injured during the recent Gen-Z movement. A dedicated Gen-Z clinic has also been established to provide focused care and treatment for the injured.
According to ministry sources, these ID cards will grant access to a range of medical facilities and services. Around 2,300 to 2,400 injured individuals have been identified across the country. “They will be categorized based on the severity of their injuries and later provided with government subsidies and other forms of support,” a source at the Home Ministry told Republica.

In addition to the clinic, the government has launched a nationwide program offering free transportation to and from hospitals for all those affected.
More decisions are expected to be finalized during today’s Cabinet meeting, including long-term support mechanisms for those injured in the uprising.
Focal persons have also been designated at major hospitals in all 77 districts to coordinate care and ensure smooth treatment for Gen-Z victims.
This initiative comes in response to growing demands for accountability and state support following the Gen-Z movement, which saw widespread protests and tragic casualties on September 8 and 9.
