KATHMANDU, May 5: Hult Prize Nepal is set to organize the national edition of the global student entrepreneurship competition on May 9, bringing together more than 160 student innovators from across the country.
Presented by British Council Nepal and hosted by UBA Solutions Pvt. Ltd., the event will be held in two phases — the preliminary round at Embark College, Kupondole, followed by the grand finale at St. Xavier’s School, Jawalakhel.
According to the organizers, participants from over 45 colleges nationwide will compete after advancing through campus-level programs and open application rounds. The competing teams will present social enterprise ideas under this year’s theme, “Unlimited,” with projects focused on addressing challenges linked to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The winning team from Nepal will advance to the Hult Prize Digital Incubator and continue in the global selection pathway, which includes the Global Accelerator and the Global Finals, scheduled to be held in London.
Last year, Team Vayudrishti, led by Shrisha Panday from Saraswati Multiple Campus, secured the national title with an AI-based air quality monitoring and purification project.
Hult Prize is regarded as one of the world’s largest student entrepreneurship competitions and awards USD 1 million in seed funding to the global winning team.
