Nepal has already defeated the UAE earlier in the series but suffered a loss to Oman. After securing a 37-run victory over the UAE in their opening match, Nepal will be aiming to repeat the result. However, the UAE, which lost to Nepal in the previous encounter, will be eager to bounce back and upset the home side.
For Nepal, winning the remaining matches is crucial. Among the eight participating teams, Nepal currently sits seventh in the standings with 14 points. To retain their ODI status by finishing within the top six in League 2, a win on Friday is essential.
Earlier on Wednesday, Nepal suffered a 102-run defeat to Oman under the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method after rain interrupted play.
Nepal will be looking to beat the UAE and avenge their loss to Oman in the final match to secure four more points.
