KATHMANDU, April 24: Shova Gyawali, Chairperson of Nepal Republic Media, has stated that media is not merely a medium for delivering information.
Speaking at a special event organized on the occasion of the organization’s 17th anniversary, she emphasized that media is not just a tool for information dissemination but a powerful force in shaping society. She stressed the need to strengthen the voice of the people.

She highlighted that the role of media goes beyond reporting news—it must also build trust and create an aware and responsible society.
A special program is currently being held in Kathmandu to mark the 17th anniversary of Nepal Republic Media. On the occasion, Chairperson Gyawali also announced that the 16th Nagarik Nayak will be declared during the event.
