KATHMANDU, Sept 11: The Mobile Phone Importers Association (MPIA) has contributed Rs 3.1 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support relief and rescue efforts for flood and landslide victims in Rasuwa’s Bhotekoshi area.
According to a press release issued by the Association, the amount was collected from its member organizations and handed over to the Finance Minister by MPIA President Deepak Kumar Malhotra, Vice President Sanjay Agrawal and other executive committee members on Thursday.

The Association said the contribution is intended to support relief, rescue and rehabilitation efforts for people affected by the disaster.
Speaking on the occasion, Malhotra said standing with disaster-affected citizens during difficult times is a shared responsibility and thanked member organizations for their support and solidarity, according to the release.
