KATHMANDU, April 2: Nepali Communist Party (NCP) lawmaker Barshaman Pun is set to address the House of Representatives today on behalf of the party. Earlier, party sources had indicated that NCP Chairman and parliamentary leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal would deliver the address.
The federal parliament secretariat, however, confirmed that Pun, who represents Rolpa, will be speaking for the party. This marks the first session of parliament following the House of Representatives elections held on March 5. The session is taking place at the multipurpose hall in Singha Durbar.
Barshaman Pun leading by 10,000 votes in Rolpa
Traditionally, party leaders and independent lawmakers address the House at the start of the session. As per the secretariat’s preparations, parliamentary leaders, including MPs, will deliver their remarks in line with this practice.
