KATHMANDU, Dec 10: Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa has been recommended as a candidate from Rolpa for the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) elections slated for March 5.

A meeting of the Nepali Congress District Working Committee on Tuesday decided to put forward Thapa’s name for the direct (first-past-the-post) race. According to Anupam GC, personal secretary to Lumbini Provincial President Amarsingh Pun, the committee has also recommended four additional names for consideration.
Alongside Thapa, the recommended candidates from Rolpa include Provincial President Amarsingh Pun, Central Committee member Manojmani Acharya, Dr. Mandip Subedi, and Gyan Bahadur Oli.
