Political Leadership Vs Organizational Leadership
Participants also deliberated on the recent decisions taken by the party’s Central Working Performance Committee about holding regular general convention from May 11 to 14. “We explored ways to coordinate on the proposal raised by the General Secretaries regarding a special general convention. Emphasis was placed on how the party could move forward in a united manner in the upcoming general elections,” said one of the participants.
The meeting further engaged in in-depth discussions on bridging divisions within the party and bringing both sides together under a common framework. Leaders strongly demanded the revocation of recent disciplinary actions taken by the party’s Disciplinary Committee, asserting that those affected should be reinstated to their respective positions.
There was a unanimous consensus among the leaders present that unity is both the need of the hour and an absolute necessity for the Nepali Congress to move forward collectively in the forthcoming general elections.
