KATHMANDU, Oct 27: Nepali Congress (NC) Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka has urged the youth cadres of the party to act like a militant and dedicate themselves to protecting the country, the people and the constitution.
Addressing a tea reception program organized at the Nepali Congress Central Office, Sanepa on Monday on the occasion of the 73rd founding day of Nepal Tarun Dal, a youth wind of the NC, Acting President Khadka urged the cadres to move forward with determination to protect the country and party which is now standing in an adverse situation in history.

Khadka claimed that the peaceful movement carried out by Gen Z demanding good-governance was infiltrated, pushing the country into great loss. “The country's judiciary, executive and legislature were attacked and destroyed. The shrine of the saint leader (Krishna Prasad Bhattarai) who was trying to empower the people, was also burnt down. The entire state system of the country was attacked and brought to an adverse situation," he said.
While lauding the role of President Ram Chandra Poudel in protecting the constitution he urged the people to be patient, united and organized in the campaign for good governance and prosperity.
Khadka emphasized the need to move forward through actively participating in the country's elections. He also urged for the elections of fraternal organizations through the current central committee meeting with a sense of unity.
Khadka assured that the NC would take reliable steps with clear guidance to unite all parties and factions of the country for the protection of national unity and the constitution.
