KATHMANDU, April 8: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Wednesday surged 45.12 points to close at 2,802.52 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,757.40 points initially jumped 15 points in the pre-opening session. The index remained almost stable in the first one hour. In the next moment, the market reached as high as 2,799.54 points in the next one hour. The market added around three points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

All the 13 groups were the gainers with manufacturing and processing adding the largest of 417.14 points as hotels and tourism, life insurance, development banks and non-life insurance also inclined by three-digit points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also increased 5.75 points. Daily turnover inclined to Rs 8.31 billion from Rs 6.73 billion.
Among the individual companies, 251 were the gainers and 15 were the losers. SY Panel Nepal Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 468.18 million.
Four companies including Reliance Spinning Mills Limited, Shreenagar Agritech Industries Limited, Solu Hydropower Limited and Hotel Forest Inn Limited were the topmost gainers of 10 percent. Swet-Ganga Hydropower and Construction Limited with a decline of 4.35 percent in its market value was recorded as the highest loser.
