KATHMANDU, April 20: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Monday plunged 13.17 points to close at 2,825.23 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,838.40 points and increased to reach the day’s high 2,845.98 points in the first six minutes. The market went to the day’s low at 2,813.54 points in the next 54 minutes. In the remaining three hours of trading, the index fluctuated by a notable range and recovered 12 points to close for the day.

Hotels and tourism by adding 84.06 points was the only gainer. Of the 12 losers, manufacturing and processing dropped by the largest of 98.68 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies also declined 3.21 points. Daily turnover decreased to Rs 5.43 billion from Rs 7.46 billion.
Among the individual companies, 65 were the gainers and 197 were the losers. Hotel Forest Inn Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 360.15 million.
Dolti Power Company Limited with a decline of 5.35 percent in its market value was recorded as the highest loser. Two companies including Suryakunda Hydro Electric Limited and Hotel Forest Inn Limited were topmost gainers of 15 percent.
