SINDHULI, Sept 5: A pedestrian was killed and another injured after being struck by a truck near Bathanchowdi along the Madan Bhandari Highway in Kamalamai-9 on Friday morning.
According to Sindhuli District Police Chief SP Lal Dhoj Subedi, the truck, en route from Biratnagar to Kathmandu, hit Bhuvan Bhujel and Tek Prasad Dahal while they were walking on the roadside. Bhujel died in the accident, while Dahal is receiving treatment at a local hospital.

After hitting the pedestrians, the truck lost control and rammed into a roadside house, causing a wall to collapse and killing 20 domesticated birds. Police have taken the driver and the vehicle into custody.
