Police recover pistol and ammunition in Jhapa

On Sunday, the police had conducted a raid in the house of a local Tul Bahadur Thapa Magar on a tipoff that the looted weapons and drugs were kept hidden at Thapa Magar's home.

JHAPA, Feb 16: Police have recovered a pistol and 40 rounds of bullet, which were looted from the Area Police Office, Anarmani during Gen Z uprising.



Even a person has been arrested in this connection. The arrested one is Sujay Rajbansi, 22, from Kankai municipality-8, according to spokesperson at District Police Office, Khagendra Bahadur Khadka.

On Sunday, the police had conducted a raid in the house of a local Tul Bahadur Thapa Magar on a tipoff that the looted weapons and drugs were kept hidden at Thapa Magar's home. 


After the raid, the police recovered a 989MM pistol and 40 rounds of bullets kept hidden in a chicken coop near Thapa Magar's home. The weapons were hidden by Tul Bahadur's son, Saugat. Saugat, however, is at large.


Rajbansi involved in looting will be taken action as per Criminal Code, 2074.
