KATHMANDU, Dec 25: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane and Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah are holding talks in Kupandole, Lalitpur as discussions continue on possible alliance during the upcoming House of Representatives (HoR) election.
The meeting is taking place at the residence of Shah’s aide Kumar Byanjankar. This follows an earlier six-hour discussion between the two leaders. Mayor Shah earlier met Energy Minister Kulman Ghising the same day before joining the talks with Lamichhane.

Shah has been actively exploring political alignment through the Desh Bikash Party and is also simultaneously holding consultations with Ghising and other political figures.
With deadlines nearing for submitting a list of Proportional Representation (PR) candidates for the HoR polls, Shah has intensified meetings as he weighs alliances and future political strategy.
