The party has also extended the contribution requirement to ministers' personal secretaries, who will be required to pay Rs 2,000 per month.
Similarly, if MPs are allowed to appoint personal secretaries in the future under legal provisions, those secretaries will also be required to pay Rs 2,000 as party levy.
The party said the decision was taken to make its internal financial management more systematic and transparent.
