The District Police Office, Rukum, said at least 10 overnight buses traveling from Kathmandu to Rukum East, Rukum West, Radi, and Dolpa have been halted. Six cargo trucks have also been stuck at the same location.

Passengers have been left stranded on the road as efforts to clear the debris continue. Bhume Rural Municipality has deployed a JCB excavator to reopen the road, but continuous falling debris has delayed the clearance work, officials said.

Meanwhile, the storm and rainfall have also caused damage to some houses and wheat crops in the area. Authorities said details of the losses are being collected.
