KATHMANDU, Jan 6: The curfew imposed in Birgunj since Monday has been lifted.
The local administration ended the curfew at 3:30 PM on Tuesday following all-party and cross-party discussions.

The District Administration Office of Parsa had initially imposed the curfew on Monday afternoon and later extended it until 6 PM on Tuesday. However, after consultations with various stakeholders, the curfew was lifted earlier in the day.
Local authorities and political parties have appealed for maintaining harmony, considering the risk of clashes between the two communities.
