First provincial assembly of Province-5 on February 4

KATHMANDU, Jan 27: The first provincial assembly of Province-5 has been scheduled for February 4.  Provincial Chief Umakanta Jha called the first provincial assembly of the province a week after he was sworn-in as the chief.

According to a statement issued by the Office of Provincial Chief, “The first meeting of Provice-5 has been slated for 1:00 PM on February-7 at the Commerce and Industry Association’s assembly hall.

Of the total 87 provinccial assembly member, 52 are elected from the First-Past-The-Post (FPTP) system while 35 are from the proportional pepresentation.
