KATHMANDU, Aug 8: The Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi has confirmed that no Nepali nationals have been found dead so far in the flash floods that hit Dharali in Uttarkashi district of India's Uttarakhand state.
In a press release issued on Friday, the embassy stated that, according to information provided by the Indian police, no Nepali citizens have been found dead or rescued alive from the flood site.

"As per the information provided by the Uttarakhand Police to the embassy, a total of 372 individuals have been safely rescued and two bodies have been recovered from the site," the statement said, "None of the rescued or deceased individuals have been identified as Nepali nationals."
The statement also noted that five Nepalis are still missing after the floods and landslides that struck Baghoda in Pauri Garhwal district on August 6. Of the four Nepalis who were injured, three have already returned home after treatment, while one remains under medical care at a local hospital, the embassy added.
The embassy further stated it is coordinating closely with the Uttarakhand state government and India’s Ministry of External Affairs to monitor the situation, assist in search and rescue operations, and ensure medical support for injured Nepalis.
