KATHMANDU, April 6: The House of Representatives (HoR) is set to convene at 1:00 pm today at the Parliament building, with newly elected Speaker DP Aryal presiding over the session for the first time.
Aryal, vice-chair of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and a lawmaker from Kathmandu Constituency-9, assumed office on Sunday and will chair the House for the first time as Speaker.
Post of Deputy Speaker remains vacant in HoR
Ahead of the meeting, Speaker Aryal held consultations with leaders of parties represented in the HoR, focusing on the upcoming parliamentary agenda and key procedural matters.
According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, an all-party meeting is expected to discuss the formation of the Business Advisory Committee and a panel to revise HoR regulations.
