KATHMANDU, Feb 18: Prabal Thapa, the Nepali Congress candidate from Kathmandu Constituency-1 for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5, has said he shares an emotional bond with the constituency.
Speaking at an interaction program organized by the Progressive National Professional Society, Kathmandu on Wednesday, Thapa said that since he was born and raised in the area, he feels a special connection to the constituency.

He pledged to remain committed to the development and progress of the area not only during the election period but also afterward.
“I will strongly raise the issues of Kathmandu- 1 as well as national agendas such as good governance, entrepreneurship, sports, promotion of the private sector, and protection of property rights in Parliament, and play a key role in formulating appropriate policies,” he said.
Thapa also expressed gratitude for the support and suggestions of respected intellectuals, stating that their encouragement has strengthened his sense of responsibility.
