KATHMANDU, May 4: The government has decided to accept a concessional loan worth $52 million from the World Bank to support efforts aimed at controlling industrial pollution in Nepal.
Government spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel said the decision was made during the Cabinet meeting held on Monday.

The loan amount is equivalent to approximately Rs 7.6 billion.
The Cabinet also approved an additional $5 million grant assistance from the World Bank, amounting to around Rs 750 million.
According to the government, the funding will be used for programmes related to industrial pollution management and environmental protection.
