KAKREBIHAR, Jan 21: Construction of the Kohalpur–Surkhet 132 kV transmission line has entered its final stage.
With preparations underway to charge the line by Magh 20, work is progressing at a rapid pace. Project Chief Rabi Chaudhary said that only about 500 meters of cable stringing remains.
Food crisis looms large as drought hits Madhesh districts
The transmission line project was launched six years ago at a cost of Rs 700 million. According to the project office, physical progress has reached 100 percent.
Testing will be completed within the next week, and electricity transmission is expected to begin within 15 days, the project said.
