KATHMANDU, June 29: The remand period of CPN-UML Vice-Chairman and Former Deputy Prime Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has been extended by an additional three days.
The Department of Money Laundering produced Poudel before the Special Court on Monday for an extension of his remand period. A joint bench of Justices Narayan Prasad Poudel, Hemanta Rawal and Umesh Koirala granted the extension. He has been sent to judicial custody as per the order.
Court extends Durga Prasai’s judicial remand by four days
Poudel was arrested from Surkhet on June 22. He was reportedly arrested in connection with an investigation into his share transactions and suspicious sources of wealth.
